InsightEdit (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data when you use our platform at insightedit.com.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
Content data: Blog posts, drafts, media files, and other content you create or upload via InsightEdit.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, session duration, browser type, IP address, and device information collected automatically via analytics.
Payment information: Billing details are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
Communications: Messages you send us via email or in-app support.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to: provide and improve InsightEdit services; authenticate your account; process payments and manage subscriptions; send transactional and product-update emails (you can opt out of marketing emails at any time); analyse usage patterns to improve performance; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with trusted service providers that help us operate InsightEdit (e.g. Supabase for database hosting, Stripe for payments, and analytics providers), and only to the extent necessary. We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect our rights.

6. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you close your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your location you may have rights to: access, correct, or delete your personal data; restrict or object to certain processing; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
InsightEdit is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of InsightEdit after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
